SETTING
Professor Bookman’s Office at the University.
Elijah Williams, a student in Jules Bookman’s Senior Seminar in Human Development, has enjoyed the class for fourteen weeks now and has come to like the professor very much. But one of Bookman’s lectures throws Elijah into a fit of cognitive dissonance. It seems the topic of human sexuality, specifically science’s position on sexual diversity, is at extreme odds with Elijah’s religious beliefs. Jules engages Elijah in a thoughtful dialogue embedded in a deeply personal context examining both positions and the impact they have on behavior.
